Los Angeles Lounge Association

We’d like to take this moment to introduce ourselves.

Uncle Jesse

After about 10 years of banging L.A. with his own blend of Electro Prog, Jesse decided that it was time to relax and take a little break. One day while doing the dishes, drinking dirty martinis, and listening to DJ Food, he thought, "You know, this stuff needs to be played out more. And who says the DJ needs to be front and center? I would LOVE to actually sit down once while I'm playing...but how?" And so began the Los Angeles Lounge Association.

Faith

Since 2001, Faith's sultry blend of loungey beats and spicy jazz have been reaching the eager ears of partygoers everywhere. Like her taste for gin, Faith's music reflects her penchant for anything smooth. Her plush, warm grooves will pour into you like a dry martini.

Whether she’s rocking a crowd or a cocktail dress, Faith will always leave you thirsty for more.

Faith's mixes can be heard at WaxDj.com. You can also find Faith on Myspace.

King Ei

King Ei was tired of going to clubs and parties with no place to chill. There was never a place to get away from the volume for a while, so King Ei decided to create such a place. Thousands of tracks and hours of compiling later, King Ei's unique sound is something that must be heard. King Ei is booked for his laid back sound at all types of venues, from international gigs to quaint neighborhood pool side BBQ’s. His style is chill out/downtempo/ambient/lounge/triphop/Acid Jazz. Call it whatever you want – it will be good.

Auntie P-funk

Auntie P-Funk has been rocking the West Coast club scene for almost a decade, but recently discovered an infatuation with the nuance of downtempo funk and its role on the unsuspecting bar hound. She relishes in fast women, premium martinis and a slick, fat bassline.

A longtime supporter of the purveyors of Belvedere behind many a Los Angeles nightspot, Auntie P-Funk does not pay for parking, dines early and arrives late to the theater.

You'll get your drink on with Auntie P-funk.

Kumar

Kumar has loved music since his early teens, which was...quite a while ago.  In fact, his fascination with blues-influenced rock kept him satisfied for 2 decades before he even considered that someone could make interesting music with instruments other than an electric guitar, bass, drum kit and the occasional keyboard.  But on New Year's Eve 2005, Kumar heard Paul Oakenfold play a dance remix of "Where the Streets Have No Name" and his life has not been the same since.

Today, Kumar's passion is downtempo music.  Music that inspires people to connect with each other.  Music that weaves into and out of their consciousness.  Music that is at once smooth, funky and sophisticated.  Most of all though, it is music that he wants to share with you.

Dr. Bourne

From the depths of his secret lab inside a volcano on a remote South Pacific isle, Dr. Bourne engineers rich, emotional music tapestries that weave together assorted cultural influences. In between planning world domination and extended bouts with secret agent adversaries, he shapes his style of Lounge to create a unique blend of tempos, melodies, and audio-sensations that are best described as a sensory feast.

He is currently listed as Most Wanted by many national and international authorities as well as many establishments where his soundscapes have been experienced first hand.
